Lift has three current/recent battery platforms. They are not cross-compatible — each is built for a specific eFoil generation.

*Full-throttle. Hybrid LIFTX sessions typically last 1–2 hours.

Gen5 (LIFT5)

Drops into the board and locks without latches or cables; wireless pairing means no data cables. One button press powers the system. IP68-rated, fully potted, double-walled. The Gen5 Full Range ships standard with LIFT5 and LIFT5 F; a Gen5 Light is available for shorter sessions. Not backward-compatible with LIFT4/LIFT3.

LIFTX

A lighter, more compact 0.9 kWh battery for the LIFTX surf-foil platform — about 18 lbs lighter than a Gen5 (with the adapter). See LIFTX battery.

Gen4 (LIFT4 / LIFT3 F)

Fourth-generation battery with restructured high-performance cells and a refined BMS. Full Range and Light variants are interchangeable (same enclosure, mount, and connections). Connects via a Fischer (5-pin) data cable to the eBox; older eBoxes with an ODU (8-pin) port need an adapter cable. Not compatible with LIFT5 or LIFTX.

Key rule

Gen5 batteries do NOT work in LIFT4 or LIFT3, and Gen4 batteries do NOT work in LIFT5 or LIFTX. See Compatibility reference. For care, see Battery safety & storage.
