Lift has made three hand controllers. The right one depends on which eFoil you own.

The three controllers

Elite Hand Controller

Carbon fiber shell with titanium hardware, full-color GPS display (speed, distance), rechargeable (10+ hours per charge via magnetic USB-C), ships with a protective case. Compatible with: LIFT5 and LIFTX only.

Lift Hand Controller

Works with every Lift eFoil ever made (LIFT3 through LIFTX). Sunlight-readable 1.5" display, GPS ride tracking with session sync, haptic feedback, rechargeable (magnetic USB-C), and it floats.

Classic Hand Controller

Uses 2 AA batteries (40+ hours), basic display with settings adjustment. Compatible with: LIFT4 and earlier only — NOT compatible with LIFT5 or LIFTX.

Using your controller

  1. Turn on the board first, then the controller.

  2. The controller pairs via Bluetooth automatically.

  3. Pull the trigger gently to control speed — gradual inputs produce smooth rides.

  4. The display shows speed, battery level, and connection status.

  5. Release the trigger to coast / slow down.

Replacement parts

Hand Controller Strap (Classic), Elite Hand Controller Strap, Elite Charging Cable (magnetic USB-C), and the Trigger Kit (spring + trigger + pin).

If a LIFT5/LIFTX controller won't pair, it almost always needs a firmware update — see Hand controller problems.
