Propellers & the LCS Jet
Folding, fixed, and jet options for LCS and legacy bolt-on eFoils — and when to choose each.
In this article
Propellers are sold separately so you can add a second propulsion option, replace a damaged prop, or convert types.
LCS propellers (LIFT5 / LIFTX)
Install the LCS Base Plate once, then snap props on and off without tools.
LCS Folding Propeller 2.0 — folding blades minimize drag when feathering on/off while carving. Surf-forward and efficient. Safety: used without a shroud, it's for advanced riders only — riding without a protective cover greatly increases injury risk.
LCS Fixed Propeller — tapered hub with increased pitch for efficiency and less drag. The all-conditions, always-deployed option.
LCS Jet — see below.
Each comes as a full kit (prop + base plate + tail cone + hardware) or prop-only if you already have LCS hardware installed.
The LCS Jet
A fully enclosed impeller that merges the Lift Jet with the LCS. Maximum safety (no exposed blades), the quietest ride, a more surf-like feel from reduced drag, and smoother, more forgiving acceleration — ideal for families, schools, and beginners.
Install the base plate (4 M4 screws + threadlocker), snap on the shroud and impeller, then press the nozzle on and rotate clockwise until it locks. Tool-free after the base plate is installed. Choose the Jet for safety and smoothness; choose folding/fixed for more aggressive acceleration and top-end speed. Works on any LCS-equipped LIFT5 or LIFTX.
Legacy bolt-on propellers (LIFT3 / LIFT4)
Fixed Aluminum — hand-polished, hard-anodized 3-blade; ships standard with LIFT4
Folding Propeller Kit — 2-blade folding; advanced riders only without a shroud
FRP Propeller Kit — fiber-reinforced polymer; ships standard with LIFT3 F (the most affordable replacement)
