The current carbon LIFT5 family — board sizes, the Gen5 battery, and how to choose.
The LIFT5 is Lift's current flagship carbon eFoil platform: forged-carbon boards, the Lift Connect System (LCS) for tool-free swaps, the 68mm direct-drive motor with Quiet Ride Technology, the Gen5 Full Range battery, and the Elite Hand Controller.

Sport (4'9): the default recommendation — stable enough to learn on, agile enough to grow into. Factory wings: 210 Camber Pro LCS + 36 Glide.
Cruiser (5'4): the most stable and forgiving; factory wings 270 Camber Pro LCS + 46 Glide.
Pro (4'4): the lightest, most performance-oriented board — not a beginner board. For experienced riders under 190 lbs.
Laird (5'2): a limited edition with hand-laid hexagonal carbon, surf-biased factory wings (200 Havoc LCS + 26 Flow), and the unique ability to run a LIFTX battery (with the LIFTX Battery Adapter) for a lighter "LIFTX feel" configuration.

*Ride time varies with propulsion type, rider weight, and speed. The battery drops in and locks without latches or cables and pairs wirelessly to the eBox. A lighter Gen5 Light Range battery is available for shorter sessions.

New rider / want forgiveness: Cruiser (or the LIFT5 F to save cost).
One board for everything: Sport.
Experienced, light, performance-first: Pro.
Bigger rider wanting a responsive board, or mixed flat-water + surf: Laird.
Compatibility & care
Full LCS compatibility — any LCS front wing, bolt-on back wing, LCS propulsion (Carbon 55 or 68), Gen5 or LIFTX battery (with adapter), Elite or Lift Hand Controller. Setup, charging, firmware updates, and maintenance are shared across the LIFT5 family.
Batteries always ship separately from the board with their own tracking number.
